Rebeca Lois Lucret

REBECA LOIS LUCRET is a native New Yorker, Nuyorican poet, spoken word artist, memoirist and former contributing writer for Blacktino.net.  She is an active member of the New York City Latina Writer’s Group, the Full Circle Ensemble and World Music Band Machete Movement. Lucret has performed in various NYC venues including Lit Crawl Brooklyn, the Glitter Pomegranate Performance Series, the Brooklyn Gypsies and Great Weather for Media. Her published works can be found in Ty(po-e:tic)us Literary Journal, various online literary blogs and journals and the upcoming anthology Brilliant Flame! Amiri Baraka: Poems, Plays, Politics for the People (04/2015). When she isn’t writing poems or nesting in Neruda’s pages, you can find Lucret at culturally themed events or working on her memoir; Dandelion Strands.
