Patricia Silver

Patricia Silver has conducted ethnographic research with the Central Florida Puerto Rican community since 2006. She is currently working on a book manuscript, Not That Kind of Latino: Heterogeneity and Political Engagement in a Sunbelt Diaspora. She has directed a series of oral history projects in Central Florida, and served as expert witness in a federal case over the dilution of Latino voting strength in Orange County. Her publications have appeared in American Ethnologist, Identities, Centro JOURNAL, and Southern Cultures.
