Taller Boricua presents Néstor Otero: Concepts, references, and strategies in a process, a limited edition autobiographical artist book and the exhibition AURA: Puerto Rican Artists in New York, 1970-1980s at the Taller Boricua Gallery at the Julia de Burgos Cultural Center in East Harlem.

The exhibition is a prologue to a more ambitious project by co-curators Marcos Dimas and Néstor Otero, in collaboration with Nitza Tufiño and Fernando Salicrup of the Taller Boricua, to document and preserve some of the artistic contributions made by Puerto Ricans who have become an integral part of New York City's multicultural landscape. This historical exhibition provides a glimpse of this reality through the presentation of photographs, posters, drawings, paintings, sculptures, constructions and narratives.
